Risquehouse extends to 66.58ha or thereby, according to Title. The woodland is dominated by stands of high yielding Sitka spruce, extending to 36.06 net hectares, planted in 1994. These crops are well stocked and exhibit good tree form, with self-thinning becoming apparent. The woodland also benefits from older areas of mixed conifers,
and smaller, discrete stands of Douglas fir and European larch predominantly planted in 1989 and extending to 14.03 net hectares in total. These comprise stands of Douglas fir, European larch, Grand and Noble fir in varying degrees
of mixture with Sitka spruce. The fir species contain large volumes of timber of good to moderate form.
The woodland also contains significant and attractive stands of mixed woodland, with both mixed broadleaves and mixed conifers and broadleaves, predominantly planted in 1994 and forming well defined species diversity
for future restructuring of the woodland. These mixed woodlands extend to approximately 9.01 hectares and are complemented by the network of open ground and rides of 7.05 hectares.
