Biodiversity net gain in development
Having a credible biodiversity plan for your scheme is becoming integral to securing planning permission and maximising end values.

Biodiversity net gain, introduced by the Environment Act 2021, seeks to ensure natural habitat which is damaged through development is not just replaced, but enhanced by at least a further 10%.
We assist developers who are unable to meet the 10% biodiversity net gain requirement on-site by conducting market analysis and using our landowner network to identify sites suitable for biodiversity offsetting.
As part of our service, we can identify and advise on appropriate counterparties to deliver the physical habitat creation and land management, as well as the agreement of robust contractual terms, which are critical to ensuring long-term environmental outcomes are secured. Importantly, we can advise on appropriate contractual terms that relieve the developer of the risk or liability associated with delivering the habitat creation or enhancement.
We are retained by multiple conservation organisations, developers and landowners to advise on financial and contractual structures to secure habitat creation projects associated with large developments.
Our services are tailored to your needs, providing effective solutions to meet development biodiversity net gain requirements.

We need to think big and think combined to bring together all elements of sustainability to reach our targets. There is no single solution.
Specification of materials
With sustainability policies moving so fast selecting the right goods, materials and services for your project can feel like trying to hit a moving target.
Carbon lifecycle analysis
Carbon is emitted by a building when it's built, used, demolished and disposed of but materials have their own carbon life too. We’ll help you understand the past, present and future of your assets.
Biodiversity Net Gain
Having a credible biodiversity plan for your scheme is becoming integral to securing planning permission and maximising end values.
Nutrient Neutrality
The local planning authorities across Norfolk have been impacted by guidance issued by Natural England in relation to the impact of increased nutrient loads on protected habitat sites.
Environmental Impact Assessments
Adding value to minimise the environmental impact of your development or infrastructure projects from the outset and ensuring compliance with the legislative requirements of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
