Urgent lease renegotiation for the repowering of the oldest commercial windfarm in Scotland

It was clear that an uplift in rental was possible for the extended term but on closer examination of the detail of the draft lease, together with consideration of the potential financial risks to the landowner in having apparatus operating beyond normal market timeframes, we identified other opportunities and protections which could be brought into play during negotiation with the developer.
