      Our client wanted to introduce the Flight Club concept to Wales and to do this, needed to achieve change of use of a retail venue to create a new darts venue with associated restaurant and bar.

      This inaugural venue offers a unique customer experience in a locality renowned for its over-concentration of vertical drinking venues and lack of immersive leisure diversification. 

      This investment and refurbishment should encourage existing long-term operators to invest heavily in refurbishment in order to compete with this industry leading operation.

      Using our specialist knowledge of the hospitality and leisure sector, a clear understanding of the proposed operation, potential issues from working on similar projects since inception of the client company and up to date understanding of relevant planning policies governing development in the locality, our fastidious preparation of the planning application and supporting technical statements resulted in a lightning quick, favourable decision, delivered within four weeks of submission.

      This investment into a prominent, vacant city centre building will create 30 new employment opportunities for the area and provide a unique rooftop restaurant and bar facility with stunning views of Cardiff Castle. The Flight Club concept has been awarded the Retailers’ Retail Award for Best Emerging Concept in 2019 and Best Use of Technology; and the Best All in One in All of London each year from 2016 to 2019.
