Exceptional new facilities for a private girls’ school in London

The client approached us to take over an existing project that had just been tendered by the existing PM via a traditional procurement route. Upon accepting the project, we identified several design and coordination issues which we addressed to ensure the successful delivery of the rest of the scheme. To achieve this, we created a comprehensive project execution plan so the multi year build would be completed on time and within budget.  

The first phase delivered a new STEM facility for students, which was built as a new floor on an existing, occupied school teaching block. The second phase was a significant existing building refurbishment to create a new dining room facility, and the third phase is a brand-new hall and sixth form centre (due to be completed in 2022).  

The project presented many challenges including constructing the buildings in a live environment during term time.
