A registered Biodiversity Net Gain scheme with over 96 biodiversity units available, offering an exciting opportunity for developers to support a landscape-scale nature restoration initiative on the North Norfolk Coast. The project delivers a wide range of habitat types, contributing to ecological resilience and long-term environmental enhancement while providing a robust and compliant BNG solution.

Strategically located next to the North Norfolk Coast environmentally designated site (SSSI, NNR, SPA, SAC, and Ramsar), this initiative will buffer and connect priority habitats here.

The enhancement and creation of species-rich grassland, native scrub, wetland, ditches and hedgerows will help support key target habitats and species identified in the Norfolk Local Nature Recovery Strategy. 

Approximately 12km from Fakenham and 30km from King’s Lynn, this site is located both in the Northwest Norfolk and North Norfolk Coast national character areas. It is positioned near the coast and large areas of marshland, including Warham Salt Marshes.
