Having managed the Monadhliath peatland restoration project – the largest in the UK - Stuart has a deep knowledge of these schemes from inception and funding through to stakeholder engagement and application. As this market evolves, there is great demand for experienced practitioners who can deliver.
With a keen eye for detail and robust practice, Stuart is up to date with regulations and guidelines in this emerging market. This attention to specifics ensures he gets it right for our clients and the long-term benefit of the land.
Stuart also has experience in invasive species management and protection of habitats and species both here and in New Zealand. He has been involved in deer population monitoring across Scotland and is very aware of the impacts on Scottish land and habitats.
Driven to improve the natural environment, Stuart takes a holistic view of land management which decompartmentalises peatland restoration, native woodland expansion, and tourism to create integrated plans which deliver on many positive environmental and societal levels.
