Graduate Residential Development Surveyor

Sebastian joined Bidwells in September 2017 after completing a History degree at the University of York and a Master’s degree in Real Estate at the University of Reading.

He aids the team with land transactions for residential development. This involves communicating with house builders, local authorities, institutional land owners and private individuals.

In training towards qualification for membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Sebastian has acquired experience in a diverse range of skills. These include conducting viability analysis, development appraisals and housing market analysis to provide strategic advice. Sebastian also assists with the negotiating of Option/Promotion agreements as well as the sale of land for residential development.

Recent projects

Redevelopment of Dunsfold Aerodrome in Waverley District, Surrey:
Undertook research to establish housing market value to support ongoing negotiations and development of the site.

Assisted with sale of land with full planning permission for 21 apartments in Grays, Essex:
Preparing sales details and marketing the site to prospective purchasers.

Conducted searches for land opportunities at a strategic level:
Working within local authority planning policy and market trends to report to clients and colleagues on the potential opportunities and constraints that may exist for residential development.
