A real estate fund and investment management specialist, Robert has a broad experience of originating and managing property investments across the risk spectrum, ranging from large scale ground-up development projects to bond-like income producing properties.
A real estate fund and investment management specialist, Robert has a broad experience of originating and managing property investments across the risk spectrum, ranging from large scale ground-up development projects to bond-like income producing properties.
Prior to joining Bidwells, Robert worked as a pan-European real estate fund manager for one of the ten largest real estate investment management firms in the world. He has managed both private and listed real estate funds, and has experienced the full cycle of investment from fund origination to liquidation.
Robert has a particular interest in pursuing patient investment strategies, focused on the generation of sustainable returns over long-term horizons. In 2019, he launched a pan-European specialist long income real estate fund; one of the first of its type in continental Europe.
The fund strategy was developed in response to institutional investor demand for secure Euro-denominated inflation-linked income streams supported by resilient capital values. Robert has also managed separate account mandates with significant single investor clients, for example a large UK corporate pension fund, this time pursing long term investment strategies in the UK.
As an alumnus of Queens’ College, Cambridge – from which he graduated with a Double First Class Honours degree – Robert particularly enjoys working with college endowment capital. He brings his long-term investment experience to the dedicated investment management team of the endowment property portfolio of Trinity College, Cambridge.
