Bidwells Partner Rebecca Mothersole has been shortlisted for NextGen of the Year, while the firm has also been recognised in the Deal of the Year category for the letting of The Optic to Arm at Peterhouse Technology Park, Cambridge.

The submission in the NextGen of the Year category highlighted the fact that, since joining Bidwells’ Rural Investment team in 2019, Rebecca has consistently gone above and beyond to nurture and grow key relationships with her institutional clients. Her commitment to delivering exceptional service and results has made her an indispensable part of the team and a trusted advisor to not only key external stakeholders, but also to her Bidwells colleagues.

The Deal of the Year submission showcased the letting of The Optic to Arm at Peterhouse Technology Park as the largest office transaction in Cambridge since 2021 and a defining moment for the regional science and technology market. Bidwells, acting as sole agent for British Land, played a central role in securing this £90 million, 95,000 sq ft commitment—transforming confidence, setting new rental benchmarks, and reaffirming Cambridge’s global pull.

A total of 38 people across 12 categories will go through to find out who the winners are at the black-tie awards night at Homerton College, Cambridge on June 25.

Judges met last week and made their decisions which will be under wraps until the awards night.

UK Property Forums managing director Matthew Battle, who was joint chair of the judging panel, said: “It was a difficult process with 38 submissions which were of high quality across all categories.

“Submissions came from a range of locations including St Albans, Norwich, Hertford, Royston, Bury St Edmunds, and Cambridge which was very encouraging.

“The debate among the panel, which included some key industry experts, was robust and making the decisions on the winners was an excellent experience. This is the fourth year of the awards and I think this has been of the best.”
