Rosalind is a RICS qualified surveyor with over 15 years’ experience in the renewables sector.

Rosalind specialises in advising clients on property matters primarily for renewable energy projects, with particular focus on large-scale on-shore wind and hydro schemes.

Her expertise in negotiating commercial terms for option and lease agreements for renewable energy schemes, is the result of many years advising both landowners and developers.

She has extensive experience in advising landowners on grid connection and access issues.

Rosalind's background is in rural land management and she is also involved with minerals, development and compensation work.

Recent projects:

  • Private forestry clients, Scotland - providing renewable advice to a number of commercial forestry landowners. Rosalind has advised these clients on commercial terms for a number of windfarms throughout Southern and Central Scotland and Tayside. These include; a recently contracted scheme of 34 turbines (operational 2017) and a further scheme of 26 turbines currently under construction. She manages over 200MW of operational wind turbines, and has negotiated option agreements for further developments with a potential capacity of over 500MWs, providing advice from the initial concept of the schemes.
  • Valuationvaluation advice for renewable energy projects and valuation of wind farm leases for private and institutional clients.
  • Hydro - advised landowners on Hydro schemes delivering 20+ MW of energy.
  • National infrastructure projects - advising landowners affected by significant electricity grid upgrades including connecting off-shore wind farms. Currently advising on four individual large-scale substation schemes being developed by the National Grid.
  • Mineralsacting for landowners in negotiating option and lease agreements for two large scale mineral projects in Scotland, which are currently both in planning.
  • Large scale Renewable Energy, specialising in onshore wind and negotiation of Option and Lease Agreements
