Guy is a Planning Partner with 20 years’ experience within both the public and private sectors. Having a vast range of planning experience gained from leading a variety of projects, Guy can bring a well-balanced view to enable clients to make informed choices.
Guy is head of the Cambridge Planning Team, one of the largest teams in the region.
Starting his planning career in local government, he learned about the internal processes, pressures, priorities and politics; knowledge that has served him well during his longer tenure in the private sector.
The experience Guy can bring is attained from a host of planning sectors, geographic areas and clients. What binds it all together is his drive to provide excellent client service by understanding the client’s needs and forming a strategy to delivery as fully as possible, those needs and aspirations.
The modern planning environment is one founded on evidence and objective reasoning, but planning is not a pure science and it involves communities, their concerns, hopes and feelings. Guy works hard to find the balance between these two factions, to shape the most compelling strategy to achieve success and deliver the client’s requirements.
Guy oversees a wide range of projects and excels within multi-disciplinary, large scale or complex projects. He is able to bring a calm and balanced view to cut through the detail and keep a focus on scheme delivery.
