Q4 2022 saw greater stability following the economic and political turmoil of Q3. Swap and mortgage rates stabilised with expectations for more measured base rate increases. 2023 has continued in a similar vein with signs inflation may be stabilising.
Despite the wider economic backdrop, the Cambridge market has seen recruitment continue amongst the city’s high growth businesses such as AstraZeneca and Apple.
Over the past three years knowledge intensive businesses have accounted for nearly three quarters of office and laboratory take up, encompassing almost 800,000 sq ft of floor space.
