Steven has over eleven years’ experience of working in the Heritage sector and has previously worked as Heritage Estate Manager at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Design and Conservation Officer at Westminster City Council.

Steven has extensive private heritage consultancy experience providing astute commercial advice that is ambitious yet sensitive to the overall significance of Heritage Assets. He has detailed knowledge of the London market and experience across all the local planning authorities. He specialises in quickly ascertaining structures’ and sites’ significance whilst helping develop schemes that retain the key values of a place whilst maximising their development potential.

Steven also has an excellent track record of working with external stakeholders, and is well versed in negotiating with organisations such as Historic England, the Victorian Society and the 20th Century Society. He is a key believer in the use of negotiation to progress scheme designs to the satisfaction of both the client and local authority. He has also acted as an expert witness for a number of Hearings and Public Inquiries for a variety of building types and sites.
