Mike has 34 years post-qualification architectural experience and started working for Bidwells following 34 years in local government
Mike is a private architectural consultant based in Bidwells Fort William office carrying out a comprehensive range of projects across all spectrum's of work. Specialising in housing new build and refurbishment, he has carried out projects for Bidwells clients across Scotland.
Mike is a Director of the Highland Historic Building Trust and a former Director of the Highland Building Preservation Trust and provides architectural advice to the board on its various highland based projects.
Mike was a Director of Architectural Services in local government for 14 years prior to its reorganisation in 1996 and then became a principle architect within the newly formed council until his retirement in 2003.
Mike then had 3 years in a local private architectural practice before being asked to join Bidwells as a private consultant in 2006.
He currently provided specialised advice to the Church of Scotland for all their properties within the presbytery of Lochaber and regularly attends on site meetings to appraise the general condition of their properties and provides written advice on future budgeting requirements.
