Matt has 15 years’ experience working in both the private and public sectors as a town planner, managing a range of complex schemes in London and the south east.

Having gained experience in the public sector as a planning officer at Central Bedfordshire Council, Matt moved to Hepher Dixon in 2006, helped manage a Central London team for Savills, and is now group partner of the London planning team.

He has a proven record of delivering viable consents. He also has an excellent knowledge of appeals, having worked on a number of public inquiries and hearings.

Since working in private practice, Matt has developed an excellent working relationship with a number of council’s and delivered on complex schemes facing many planning (and political) issues.

 

  • Advising on planning and political strategies for complex projects
  • Negotiating detailed S106 Agreements including testing the viability of residential schemes
  • Specialist knowledge in high-end residential, restaurants, hotels, retail, education and office schemes
  • Specialist, in-depth knowledge of the central London market

  • In depth knowledge of appeals
