Senior Rural Surveyor

Lyndsay qualified as an RICS Rural Surveyor in 2008 with experience in coastal and rural estate management. She is based in our Fort William office.

Lyndsay joined Bidwells in 2008 after graduating from Aberdeen University in 2008 with an MSc in Sustainable Rural Development following an undergraduate degree in Geoscience. Prior to University she undertook a gap year with BAA Scottish Airports as an Environmental Assistant.

Lyndsay is currently responsible for assisting in the management of a large Highland Estate, extending to some 46,500 Ha, where there are a number of residential, agricultural, sporting and commercial enterprises. Lyndsay also assists with management of Crown Estate Scotland’s Costal assets on the west coast of Scotland from the Clyde to Kyle of Lochalsh as well as the Inner Isles.

Work includes agency, rent reviews, staff management, property management, managing community relationships, implementing client’s HSEQ management system and handling access enquiries.

Lyndsay undertakes the secretarial role to the Mid-West Deer Management Group, and manages the Group’s Deer Management Plan.

Recent projects

  • Strategic Review for major client
    Assisting client with full review, including estate valuation, collation of information and regular communications with client and client’s solicitors.

  •  Title Registration
    Assisting solicitors in the voluntary registration of approx. 46,500ha of land.

  •  HSEQ Management
    Implementation of client’s HSEQ management system across their Highland Estates. This is accredited to ISO14001, ISO9001& OHSAS 18001.

  •  Habitat Monitoring
    Assisting various clients with setting up and undertaking habitat monitoring in relation to deer impacts.

  •  Property Renovation
    Overseeing the project to renovate a derelict property into a modern holiday cottage.
