Jack joined Bidwells in 2018 having graduated with BSc Honours Degree in Agri-Business from Harper Adams University.
Jack is from a non-farming background but has been involved in agriculture since the age of 12 having joined his local young farmer's club in Maidstone, Kent. Since then he has worked on a range of farms from intensive dairy units to organic beef and sheep as well as large scale arable farms in a wide range of locations including Devon, Kent, Sussex, and Essex. Jack has a keen interest in all scopes of agriculture and his dissertation investigated causes of volatility in wheat and oilseed rape markets.
He also undertook a 14-month placement as part of his degree on a mixed arable and beef farm on the Kent/Sussex border that produced pedigree Aberdeen Angus, Charolais, and Hereford cattle. As part of his placement year, he undertook a project that involved visiting a number of beef farms in Scotland as part of an investigation as to how the farm could incorporate a commercial cross-bred beef herd to complement its existing enterprises.
Jack is currently involved in a range of Bidwells' clients and his life outside of work includes playing sports and taking care of his own herd of pedigree cattle.
