Harriet joined Bidwells in July 2018 as an Assistant Planner with a Masters degree in Town Planning from Anglia Ruskin University.

Harriet has been involved in a variety of projects since joining Bidwells in July 2018. She has been involved in project work ranging from small to large scale developments and has provided assistance in submitting and preparing applications, planning statements, EIA coordination support, requests for pre-application advice and planning appraisals.

Harriet has had experience in submitting applications and monitoring their progress, providing clear updates to the clients and giving advice on potential courses of action, whilst coordinating a continued progress with the Design Team.

Since joining Bidwells, Harriet has gained a wealth of experience and has begun working on projects within the ‘golden triangle’ with particular focus in Cambridge and London. 

Harriet is a Licentiate member of the RTPI and is progressing towards APC qualification to become a chartered town planner.

Recent projects

Darwin Green, Cambridge:

  • Acting on behalf of Barratt Homes, provided project support for both Darwin Green One (Reserved Matters) and Darwin Green Two and Three (Outline) in submitting applications for pre-application advise, discharging conditions and liaising with the design team to progress the design of the reserved matters application.
  • Providing input into a planning strategy.
  • Supporting senior colleagues in discussions with council officers.

Great Wilsey Park, Haverhill:

  • Acting on behalf of Redrow Homes, providing project support for the applications for discharging conditions.
  • Coordinating the project team to ensure key milestones are met and corresponding with the client to ensure the highest level of satisfaction.

Suffolk Coastal District:

  • Providing project support by assisting in the production of a statement of case for a commercial sites promotion as an allocation in the emerging local plan.


Meridian Water, Enfield:

  • Provided a comprehensive planning overview of the proposal and site and supported senior colleagues in the bid to become the planning consultants on this large scale, high profile project.

Highgate School, Haringey:

  • Acting on behalf of the school, provided support to senior colleagues by preparing the planning statement for the controversial and highly constricted site.
  • Producing an EIA Screening Report, to determine the need for an EIA.

Residential Development:

  • Providing support on multiple residential developments on a variety of scales and locations, including
    • Initial site review
    • Planning overviews
    • Design team meetings
    • Attending pre-application meetings
    • Submitting applications.
