Geoff has over 15 years’ property experience, primarily focused on immediate and strategic land agency within the residential development sector.

He specialises in the disposal and acquisition of residential development land, as well as providing advice on conditional contracts, options, promotion and joint venture agreements for landowners and developers.

Prior to joining Bidwells, Geoff worked for two of the leading plc house builders. This experience enables him to advise clients on how to optimise the value of residential development opportunities.

Over the past eight years Geoff has acted for private landowners; plc house builders; trusts; charities; and academic institutions.

Recent and Current Projects

University of Cambridge:
North West Cambridge Development is the largest single capital development project that the University of Cambridge has undertaken in its 800-year history. It will deliver a 3,000-dwelling urban extension to the north western fringe of Cambridge. Geoff acts on behalf of the University of Cambridge, advising on the disposal strategy for residential market land parcels, in addition to procuring the appointment of development partners.

Private Landowner, Great Wilsey Park:

This proposed urban extension is located to the north east of Haverhill and has the potential to deliver 2,500 dwellings. Geoff acts for the landowner in monitoring the activities of the promoter and is instructed to implement the disposal strategy for them.

Trustees of the Gwyneth Cowing Settlement and Will Trust:
Acts for the Trustees in advising and implementing a disposal strategy that meets with the objectives of the Trusts for this c.11-acre site located within the London borough of Barnet.

Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club:

Geoff acts for the Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club in advising on the promotion and disposal strategy of a site with potential to deliver 50 dwellings.

Trustees of the WF Parker 1924 Settlement and the DW Parker 1987 Settlement:
Appointed to advice the Trustees on the promotion and disposal strategy of a c.140-acre site located to the north of Hertford, of which c.11 acres have been identified for residential development.

Private Landowner, North Street, Stilton:
Advised the Landowner in obtaining optimum terms for the promotion of their c.10-acre site. Geoff will be instructed to sell the site once a planning permission has been obtained.

Consortium of two Charities and a Trust, Land South of Babraham Road, Sawston:
Appointed as the Landowners Agent to agree a Collaboration Agreement for a residential development opportunity that could deliver 260 dwellings and to determine and implement a disposal strategy to meet agreed objectives.

Bishop’s Stortford North Landowner Consortium:
Acted on behalf of the Bishop’s Stortford North Landowner Consortium. The proposal will deliver 2,200 dwellings and associated facilities. The role included monitoring of the planning application, section 106 negotiations, consortium duties, in addition negotiating the purchase price with the Bishop’s Stortford North Consortium. First occupations are anticipated in spring 2019.
