Calum is a member of Bidwells’ Energy & Renewables Team, assisting in energy and infrastructure projects, valuations, land & environmental management, and undertaking a broad range of rural professional work.
Calum joined Bidwells in 2015 as a Rural Surveyor after completing a Masters Degree in Rural Surveying and Rural Property Management at the University of Aberdeen, following an undergraduate degree in Scots Law. Calum qualified as a chartered surveyor with the RICS in 2017.
Based in our Fort William Office, Calum is involved in rural professional work with clients throughout Scotland. He has experience in estate and property management, energy and infrastructure projects, valuations, agency, employee negotiations and various estate diversification projects. Calum has also worked within the deer management sector and handled complex agricultural tenancy matters.
He has experience in representing landowners’ interests in large utilities projects and in negotiating access agreements and compensation payments.
Calum has extensive experience of the Land Registration process, and has carried out comprehensive land referencing searches for Renewable Developers looking for energy development sites throughout Scotland.
Calum has experience of working with community groups and has been advising on various agricultural tenancies for a large Community Trust.
