      Andy Turnbull

From the Peruvian rainforest to the Scottish Highlands, Andy's experience in sustainable markets is inspiring. His firm belief in the emerging natural capital sector, and the exciting prospects it brings, ensures that Bidwells is making strides in the right direction.

An ecology graduate with a background in sustainable food sourcing, forestry and renewable energy developments, Andy advises on channelling capital into sustainable projects and aligning investment with the low carbon delivery transition, which will have a direct impact on sequestering reducing carbon and reaching our goal of net zero.

Through his innovative and collaborative work with nature-based solutions he has generated a pipeline of carbon offset-producing projects, which will create millions of recognised carbon credits valued in the £100m’s. In addition, these projects will help restore our biodiversity and enhance our collective natural capital. Being at the intersection of finance and nature, Andy is helping to further develop opportunities to invest in the natural environment.

Andy's commercial awareness and ability to deliver was honed over the past decade as part of Bidwells’ forestry team and is illustrated by his recent involvement in purchasing land to create one of Scotland's largest sustainably managed woodlands for an institutional investor. His commercial drive is only tempered by a belief that by wise investment, we can create a positive legacy for future generations.
