Graduate Rural Surveyor

Alex is a Graduate Rural Surveyor working from our Inverness office. He is involved in private estate management across the Inverness-shire area.

Alex graduated from the University of Glasgow after studying Rural Business Management (Hons) with RICS accreditation at SRUC and joined Bidwells in July 2018.

His experience includes management of agricultural leases and sporting lets, in addition he helps with other professional work alongside colleagues on behalf of clients, including compulsory purchase, resumption of tenanted land and estate agency work.

Alex is from a rural and farming background near Oban and has worked on his uncle’s family livestock farm on the Isle of Mull, Argyll from a young age.

Between leaving school and attending SRUC, Alex spent a year studying Gaelic at Sabhal Mór Ostaig and then worked on Glenrath Farms in Peebles, a large sheep, cattle and hen enterprise in the Scottish Borders after which he went to SRUC. This allowed him to gain knowledge of the agricultural and rural sector across Scotland.
