Science &

the number one advisor to the Science and Technology sector in the UK

Science & Technology is in our heritage, dating back to creating Cambridge Science Park for Trinity College in the 1970’s, the UKs first science park. Over the years we have learnt (and shared) a wealth of knowledge and gathered experts across the real estate industry. We work with brilliant people across all areas of science who demand excellence of service, innovative thought and an understanding of what they need.

Our day-to-day work across life sciences and healthcare, Space and satellites, energy and environment, big data and AI, advanced engineering and physical sciences, electronics and sensors, and film and digital media, working with real estate clients, occupier clients, public sector and academic organisations, give us an in-depth understanding of the sector and how real estate creates places for innovation.

Much of our work is concentrated in the ‘Golden Triangle’ (Oxford, Cambridge and London) served from our offices in Cambridge (Head Office), Oxford, London, Milton Keynes and Norwich.  We also have offices across Scotland where our teams advise in off and on-shore renewable energy and agri-technology.

Our Landlord Advisory teams represent 23 science parks and urban innovation districts across the Golden Triangle, equating to well in excess of 10 million square feet of laboratories, offices, R&D, data centres and manufacturing buildings.

Our Tenant Advisory teams represent businesses across a broad range of science and technology, ranging from early stage University ‘spin out’ companies through to large international organisations. Bidwells represent Oxford Sciences Innovation, the world’s largest University fund (by a factor of four), with a portfolio of over 75 spin out companies.

At Bidwells we take a ‘project-led’ approach with colleagues from Commercial, Residential, Building, Planning and Rural working together to deliver various services:
