Sam Metson is now heading up the team at Partner level, supported by Lisa Skinner, also a Partner, who joined Bidwells from WYG’s London office in 2016. Lisa previously spent four years at Andrew Martin Associates in Chelmsford and has over 20 years public and private sector experience.

Earlier this year Elizabeth Thorogood joined from Rochford District Council, where she was Senior Planner. Elizabeth is a qualified Practitioner of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (PIEMA) and her arrival further enhances Bidwells’ specialist in-house EIA team, in addition to our core planning consultancy service.

Ryan Nicholls recently arrived from Place Services, the planning and design consultancy arm of Essex County Council. Ryan worked on a range of strategic and development control projects at Place Services and brings important local knowledge, contacts and expertise that will be invaluable moving forwards.

We are also delighted to welcome our new Office Manager and Team Secretary, Lauren Patten, who joins from local law firm Gepp and Sons.

Further appointments to our Planning and Residential Development teams have already been made for the Autumn which will be announced in due course.

We are delighted to introduce our new team, which offers experience across key areas of planning and residential development. We've been working on some exciting projects this year and our enhanced team will see this momentum continue through 2018 and beyond.
Sam Metson, Partner, Chelmsford.
