Oxfordshire's new home for filming, online and digital media moves a step closer

For many years the 1,200 acre Cold War base at Heyford Park near Bicester has had a long tradition of filming, with parts of Octopussy being filmed on the base in the 80's and, more recently, World War Z, Fast and Furious 6, Wonder Woman, plus a number of period and contemporary TV Series.

As part of Dorchester Living’s comprehensive Masterplan application for the next stage of development at Heyford Park there will be a purpose-built campus for pre and post-film, TV,  online production and new innovative technologies called Creative City.

It covers 39 acres with a built capacity of 42,000 sq m (459,000 sq ft) in a mixture of film and sound studios, workshops and ancillary offices to be occupied by complimentary businesses with direct access to the Park for filming, backlot and stage sets.

Referencing the Cold War heritage, the scheme will incorporate a number of the protected hardened concrete hangars.

The Masterplan also includes 1,175 additional homes, shops, a new school, heritage visitor centre.
