Planning Associate Mark Harris has joined Bidwells' Planning team to support our growing client portfolio across the CaMkOx Arc.
Mark will be project managing several key residential and commercial projects across Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire from our Milton Keynes office. Mark is a Chartered Planner with over 13 years’ experience at all levels of the planning system, from the preparation of planning applications to Planning Appeals and Examinations in Public.
A Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), he has successfully delivered several planning consents across Milton Keynes, Central Bedfordshire and Aylesbury Vale, as well as managing the successful promotion of strategic sites through the local plan process, both in the Growth Arc and beyond.
I’m delighted to be joining Bidwells and look forward to working with their multiple divisions embedded within the property industry. There are exciting times ahead with the extent of growth planned within growth corridor and it will be great to be at the heart of this with Bidwells in Milton Keynes.
Mark began his career working as part of the development plans team at Milton Keynes Council (MKC) where he played a key role in the successful adoption of the Core Strategy in 2013. Gaining particular experience with the delivery of strategic sites in Milton Keynes, the focus of his role at Milton Keynes Council was on housing issues, including five-year land supply and sustainable construction.
David Bainbridge, Partner at Bidwells added:
We are delighted to welcome Mark to our growing team in Milton Keynes. His wide-ranging experience and local expertise will further strengthen the wealth of skills we can offer to our clients across different sectors.
Mark also has experience in advising and preparing neighbourhood plans. As part of his role at MKC, Mark advised several neighbourhood plan groups on the production of their plans, including Newport Pagnell, who took a particularly pro-growth approach in their neighbourhood plan. More recently, he has prepared a Neighbourhood Plan for a Milton Keynes Parish at Walton, which successfully passed referendum with an 88% yes vote.
