On 29 November, Sadiq Khan will launch the Draft London Plan that will articulate how development in the capital should address his Mayoral priorities including ‘Good Growth’ and ‘Healthy Streets’ as set out in the recently published ‘Good Growth by Design’, ‘Mayor’s Housing Strategy’ and ‘Mayor’s Transport Strategy’.
The following day, on 30 November, the RTPI London is holding its Annual Summit at the Museum of London, which aims to explore issues affecting the London Planning community, the London Plan, ‘Good Growth’ and best practice across the Capital.
Session 3 of the Summit, sponsored by Bidwells, will be focussing on the London Plan, including a presentation by the GLA, a panel debate, and Q&A.
Chaired by Bidwells’ head of London Planning team Matt Richards, the panel debate will discuss issues such as whether mayoral targets for affordable housing can be met while accommodating higher densities; opportunity areas; intensifying land uses; infrastructure; economic resilience and much more.
More information will follow on our speakers, but in the meantime, you can find out about the event here.
