Bidwells launches its latest Our View on Industrial research

Industrial supply has struggled to keep pace with demand across the Bidwells’ market area.

Following Amazon taking the lease on Altitude at Magna Park, the largest spec built logistics unit in the UK, demand for ‘big box’ space remains above trend.

Meanwhile, the core markets in the Oxford-Cambridge Arc are struggling with an average availability rate of 5.5% driven by growing demand from knowledge intensive industries, reflected by the arrival of Andretti Autosport Formula E team in Banbury and Huawei purchasing 550 acres in Sawston.

This broad-based demand delivered average rental growth of 3.6% during H1 2019 and acute supply pressures will drive further uplifts.
