Every year, World Town Planning Day brings together planners and communities to celebrate how we shape our world and make it a place where we want to live, work and play together.

Launched in 1949 by Professor Carlos Maria della Paolera of Buenos Aires, his aim was to promote the value of planning all over the world. Since then planners have continued to celebrate their achievements in helping to create more sustainable communities and places and hold various activities globally.

Today marks the 70th Anniversary of World Town Planning Day and there are various celebratory events being held across the UK.

Our Planning division attended the Royal Town Planning Institute's event on Thursday 7th November, discussing what the main challenges and innovations have been over the past 70 years and the lessons that have been learnt for the future.

As World Town Planning Day is about celebrating successes, take a look at the exciting projects and achievements the division has been involved in this year.

We wish our clients, friends and colleagues in town planning across the world, a happy World Town Planning Day!
