Following Bidwells’ previous involvement to faciliate the sale of the building, we were instructed to gain permission for a fourth floor extension and the addition of fifth and sixth floors to accommodate an additional 24 apartments already secured under a change of use from office to residential, secured under prior approval.

What we did

  • Advised on a strategy to increase density of the scheme following prior approval for a change of use from office to residential for 54 apartments. 

  • Liaised with the client and project architect to design a policy compliant scheme and liaised with Milton Keynes Borough Council throughout the determination of the application 

  • Represented the client at planning committee and rebutted objections from the town council to obtain a resolution to grant 

  • Advised on the completion of a S.106 legal agreement

Result

  • Full planning permission achieved for the client

  • Bidwells is providing ongoing advice regarding expressions of interest in affordable housing provision
