Bidwells was instructed to prepare and submit an outline planning application for up to 44 dwellings, publicly accessible open space and parking for the village hall in Kislingbury, Northamptonshire. The site forms part of a residential allocation in the award-winning Kislingbury Neighbourhood Plan.

 What we did

  • Promoted of the site and various representations made to South Northamptonshire Council’s Local Plan Part 2 including participation at the examination hearing sessions

  • Prepared/submitted an outline planning application for up to 44 dwellings which sought approval for access with all other matters reserved

  • Negotiated with the council on the viability of the scheme, requirements for planning obligations and the appropriate mix, size, type and tenure of housing to be delivered for the site

  • Negotiated/consulted with key stakeholders

  • The application was amended to a detailed outline planning application seeking approval for access, layout, appearance and scale, with only landscaping reserved

  • The application achieved a resolution to grant detailed outline planning permission with only detailed landscaping reserved subject to planning conditions and completion of the Section 106 Agreement with no technical objections from consultees

  • Planning committee members unanimously voted to approve the application with praise for the six bungalows and additional parking for the village hall

  • A happy client who has recently opened a South Midlands regional office in Northamptonshire to develop a wider portfolio of sites in the region
