REDE HALL FARM
The client’s intentions were to build on their existing Suffolk Punch horse enterprise and develop a facility, whereby people could stay in holiday accommodation and learn about using Suffolk Punches as heavy horses for traditional farming. Rede Hall Farm Park also offers vocational training courses in rural skills and has educational visits from schools in the local area.
What we did
Bidwells was instructed to obtain planning permission for the development of the traditional farm buildings to two holiday cottages, a dwelling for the owner, commercial office/storage space and a workshop, as well as the existing stabling.
Negotiated the conditions of the planning consent to avoid the need for a Section 106 agreement.
Secured the flexibility to offer six month lets between holiday seasons.
Secured grant funding to cover 50% of the project costs.
Negotiated leases of the office and workshop spaces to provide valuable rental income.
- Planning permission was secured along with grant funding for 50% of the project costs.
Great vision, design, planning and grant and great fun too! We are up and running very successfully.
