Crest Nicholson Regeneration
The RTPI south east award winning canalside quarter is a mixed-use redevelopment in Central Milton Keynes, adjoining the Grand Union Canal. The development includes 383 new homes, a café, shop, restaurant, nursery and public house, with a pedestrian and cyclist bridge linking the two developments.
What we did

Secured reserved matters consent for a mixed use development on the west bank of the Grand Union Canal

Obtained a separate hybrid planning permission on the east bank of the canal with a new bridge joining the two sites

Coordinated the design team throughout the pre-application and planning application process

Arranged the public consultation event at the CMK shopping centre

Managed the political and stakeholder consultation

Met the client’s demanding timeframe on submission of reserved matters prior to expiry of the outline planning permission

Secured the required permissions to enable the client to complete the land deal with the site owners (MK Development Partnership)

Used our high level contacts with the Milton Keynes planning department to push the applications through the system

Retained the favourable affordable, housing provision from historic planning policy for the client

Following stakeholder consultation, the proposals enjoyed the support of the local parish and town councils
