Bidwells was instructed to progress a full planning application for 70 dwellings at land south and west of Whitworth Way, Wilstead. The site had previously been granted outline planning permission at appeal.

What we did

  • Progressed, prepared and submitted a full planning application through positive engagement with the district council and other stakeholders

  • Held meetings with the district council and other stakeholders 

  • Presented to planning committee 

  • Negotiated a higher ridge height than was previously imposed by the appeal decision



  •  Planning permission was granted subject to a linking Section 106 agreement being completed

  • The higher ridge height enabled the  client’s desired house types to be built 

  • Affordable housing agreed at 40%, 10% over and above policy requirement
