Bidwells UDStudio produced a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) as supporting evidence, forming part of an application for residential development at Herne Bay in Kent.
The 12-month long study has informed and underpins development of the master plan proposals and supporting landscape strategy. Highway improvements to the neighbouring Bullockstone Road are proposed in order to facilitate development of the site are included as part of the final study submission documentation.
What we did
Developed a detailed understanding of the site constraints and landscape characteristics to ensure the master plan integrates well within its setting, with a complex hierarchy of open space underpinning the master plan proposals
We provided Landscape Design and Landscape and Visual Impact services as part of an outline planning application process
- The scheme went to appeal in early 2017, concluding in April. We await the Planning Inspectors’ verdict on the Appeal. We were able to sufficiently rebuff any LVIA concerns and this was not a reason on which the original application was refused.
