The development of a 6-hectare site on the eastern edge of Linton to support a new residential community of up to 55 homes.
The sensitive greenfield site is located at the gateway to the village from the A1307, with existing development to the west and a river corridor to the south. Protected species, buried services and visual impact are some of the complex design issues we have encountered.
What we did
- UDS provided Master Planning and LVIA services through to submission of an outline planning application.
- We undertook extensive consultation with South Cambridgeshire District Council to overcome LVIA related issues.
Result
- The land holding was put to market and sold to a residential developer in 2017, meaning the client team received a significant return on their investment.
