Instructed to obtain planning permission for a rural exception site..

What we did

  • On behalf of Broadland Housing Association, Bidwells obtained full planning permission for the construction of 18 dwellings at Great Hockham in February 2019. The proposed development qualified as a rural exception site, with 8 market dwellings included in the housing mix to crosssubsidise the delivery of 10 affordable homes

  • Bidwells were responsible for steering the application through the planning process, from public consultation and addressing technical challenges throughout the course of the application.


Result

  • The planning application was unanimously approved at planning committee, with the applicant receiving praise for their exemplary design and approach to public consultation, which Bidwells helped to coordinate
