Preparation of Heritage Statement to accompany an application for the redevelopment of land at Pitsford Street in Birmingham, currently occupied by a warehouse, to provide new residential accommodation, office and retail space and a hotel within the Jewellery Quarter Conservation Area.

Our involvement was to clearly identify the relative residual significance of the surrounding historic Jewellery Quarter context and to assess the potential impacts arising from the proposed redevelopment of the site.


What we did

  • Research and analysis of historic development of the building and surrounding area.
  • Preparation of Significance and Impact Assessments to assess the heritage value of all assets and the potential impact on their significance as a result of the new scheme.
  • Design advice to mitigate potential impacts on heritage assets.






  • The planning application was submitted in August 2017 and is currently under consideration.
