On behalf of NHS Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust, Bidwells has secured a draft residential allocation on a partly brownfield Green Belt site in the emerging Brentwood Local Plan..
What we did
-
Bidwells promoted the site through the emerging Local Plan on behalf of NHS Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust, which led to planning policy officers and the Council recommending a draft allocation for the site.
-
In the face of initial opposition, Bidwells convinced officers that the allocation of the site would not give rise to harm and would maintain a defendable Green Belt boundary.
-
Bidwells provided strategic planning advice to the client throughout the emerging Local Plan process.
-
We are leading a project team of specialist consultants to bring forward a planning application once the Local Plan is adopted.
Result
-
The allocation is set to achieve a significant uplift in land value to this sustainably located partly brownfield site in the Green Belt which has been identified as surplus to requirements by the NHS.
-
Development would offer a high-quality living environment, with a genuine sense of character and place and excellent links to Brentwood town centre.
