Bidwells was instructed to provide design advice and preparation of a Heritage Statement for the formation of five dwellings, three new dwellings and two conversions.
The fundamental principles of the scheme were to retain and, where possible, re-form a sense of a farm group on the frontage of Fosse Road - in the position of the former farmyard - and to provide it in a form that remains ancillary and subordinate to the listed farmhouse]
The site is within the East Stoke Conservation Area and is adjacent to two Grade II listed buildings and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
What we did
Researched and analysed the historic development of the building and urrounding area
Provided input and advice into the design approach of the scheme
Prepared Significance and Impact Assessment to assess the heritage value of all assets and the potential impact on their significance as a result of the new scheme
Attended Pre-application and Full Application meetings with the council
Full planning permission approved
