Having recently amalgamated their two sites onto a single campus (for circa 1,800 staff), the client initially concentrated on the internal refurbishment fit-out works and needed to understand the ongoing external maintenance of the building fabric.
What we did
Provided planned and preventative maintenance surveys of a varied building stock, located at their city centre site off Shaftsbury Avenue.
The report format was developed through close consultation between the client and Bidwells, in order to create the ability to package similar work items together to ensure appropriate sequencing year on year.
The surveys were focused on obtaining information on the present condition in order to allow cost data and forecasts to be generated, with a view to providing advice for maintenance works over a 10-year period.
Additional comment on statutory compliance and upgrading of the external fabric was provided where necessary.
The documents were produced to enable clear and predictable budgeting for the client, whilst acting as a useful tool for ongoing maintenance of assets over a given period.
