Bidwells was instructed to provide services and advice in respect of LGCHF’s rural portfolio, including strategic advice and the management a number of agricultural and equestrian lettings.
Bidwells was instructed on a previously under-managed section of the Diocese’s Glebe Portfolio and has been working with the Diocese of Oxford to ensure that the portfolio is regularised and opportunities are identified which meet the wider objectives of the client, including a significant residential development scheme.
Bidwells has managed the Glebe Portfolio since 2012. Having undertaken an initial
review of all assets, we have recommended and implemented an overall strategy of rationalisation and reinvestment whilst continuing to seek opportunities to increase the value of retained assets.
Bidwells provided planning advice for 240 dwellings at Morton Park on the edge
of the village of Wavendon, Milton Keynes. The dwellings range from one to five bed
properties including detached, semi-detached, small terraces and flats.
Bidwells was instructed to obtain full planning application for a new school, Pix Brook
Academy in Stotfold, comprising a 8,980 sq m main school building, 163 car parking spaces, 267 cycle parking spaces, bus/coach parking spaces, pick-up/ drop-off vehicle loop, sports
hall, netball and tennis courts, football pitches, athletics track and games areas.
Bidwells’ heritage team was instructed to provide robust heritage advice on applications for the change of use of the building from offices to a private members’ club and a health and wellbeing club. The team also provided heritage interior design advice associated with internal and external alterations including the erection of a full length retractable glazed canopy to enclose an external dining terrace/courtyard.
In 2008, the Cambridge Mosque Trust (CMT) purchased a brownfield site on Mill Road, 800m from the existing mosque. The site was formerly a furniture repository within a Victorian residential area.
