Bidwells acted as Heritage Consultants working on Listed Building Consent and Planning Permission that was secured for unauthorised works at a Grade II listed property in London.
Bidwells worked on several new buildings to accommodate research laboratories and office space - which also included a roof terrace. We also reconfigured access and created a new multi-storey car park.
Bidwells led on the refurbishment of the Grade I Listed Master’s Lodge located in the centre of the college site. The works included conversion of the second floor into five high-quality guest rooms; layout changes to the master’s private four-bedroom residence; refinishing the public rooms - and alterations to the circulation spaces to improve communication and accessibility between them; the formation of a new meeting room and servery; a new lift and stairwell through the building; full replacement of mechanical and electrical services and conservation works to the external fabric and
re-roofing.
The creation of an agile and functional workplace that is better aligned to Bidwells’ identity as one of the UK’s leading property consultancies. The transformation has helped the business to grow through an increase in cross-fertilisation of ideas and opportunities
Internal and external alterations to facilitate the refurbishment of the existing Langham Hotel spa and the creation of a new hotel bar within the former banking hall of a Grade II listed building.
Bidwells was instructed to prepare and submit an outline planning application for up to 44 dwellings, publicly accessible open space and parking for the Village Hall in Kislingbury, Northamptonshire. The site forms part of a residential allocation in the award-winning Kislingbury Neighbourhood Plan.
