Unit B and C, Castle Wharf is a circa 60,775 sq ft office building of steel portal frame construction with basement, ground and three upper floors, which was constructed by our
client circa 1998. Bidwells successfully provided a dilapidations settlement on behalf of Charles Street Building Group.
Bidwells was instructed to act as the employer’s agent and contract administrator on behalf of B/S/H and oversee the project delivery. The instruction also included undertaking a similar role to manage a coordinating refurbishment in Dublin.
Bidwells was instructed to provide design, project management and contract administration advice to separate the this iconic central Milton Keynes building into two lettable areas to provide commercial use.
Following Bidwells’ previous involvement to faciliate the sale of the building, we were instructed to gain permission for a fourth floor extension and the addition of fifth and sixth floors to accommodate an additional 24 apartments already secured under a change of use from office to residential, secured under prior approval.
Bidwells was instructed to obtain planning permission for the demolition of two existing
residential blocks and replacing them with 43 apartments and a single detached dwelling in Summerhouse Way, Abbotts Langley, for Thrive Homes.
The development doubles the existing number of dwellings on the site.
