CAMKOX ARC

WE'RE ON IT

The Cambridge-Milton Keynes-Oxford (CaMkOx) Arc, or ‘knowledge corridor’, is of vital economic importance in the UK; home to leading international universities and science and technology companies.

Reflecting its significance, a strategic vision for the CaMkOx growth corridor was delivered by the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) and received Government support in the November 2017 Budget.

Plans for the corridor include a new EastWest Rail line (‘Varsity Line’) connecting Oxford and Cambridge by 2030 and the accelerated development of the Oxford-Cambridge Expressway.

Housing forms the other key part of the strategy; the goal is to deliver one million new homes in the corridor by 2050, through settlement expansion and the development of up to five new towns or villages.

With offices across the CaMkOx Arc in Oxford, Milton Keynes and Cambridge, Bidwells is in a unique position to assist landowners and developers to maximise the opportunities presented by this huge project.
