New Bioenergy Capital Grant Scheme Announced

The Government this week announced the opening of the next round of Bioenergy Capital Grants. The grants are available for businesses, organisations and charities in the commercial, industrial and community sectors that are considering investing in biomass-fuelled heat and/or combined heat and power projects, including anaerobic digestion (AD).

Grants of up to 40% of capital costs are available for eligible projects. The scheme is competitive and early application is encouraged as funds are likely to be used up quickly. The Bidwells Renewable Energy team have experience of securing significant grants for biomass projects from previous rounds of the scheme.
