Denis has over 16 years post qualification experience in forestry and planning in the Highlands. He provides advice to landowners and renewable energy developers on forestry issues in North Scotland and provides timber harvesting and woodland creation services.

Denis has experience in both the regulatory and private sectors brings understanding of key issues, and well established relationships with stakeholders.

Presently providing planning consultation stage advice to wind farm developers on felling impacts on forest design and Control of Woodland Removal Policy implications. Experienced in providing input to, and assessing, Environmental Statements for woodland creation schemes and forest design plans.

He is an experienced negotiator in relation to EIA conditions, mitigation arrangements, and consultee agreements for a range of forestry and renewables operational activities.

Jointly responsible for the strategic management of over 40,000 ha of forestry. Involved in the planning and management of harvesting programmes on behalf of retained management clients, as well as providing valuation advice to developers and investors.
