Cath is a qualified chartered surveyor, a fellow of the agricultural valuers and a RICS registered valuer who specialises in anaerobic digestion (AD) and rural development and diversification (RDD).

Cath joined Bidwells in 2009 and works for a variety of clients including private individuals, institutions and banks. She has extensive personal experience of the farming community that she brings to the role.

Cath has been involved in a wide range of AD projects advising on the whole process including valuations, due diligence, property advice for option and lease agreements, initial feasibility, technology selection, planning & permitting, financial planning and feedstock supply/digestate agreements for farm based and food waste AD plants across the UK.

Cath has extensive experience of rural development and diversification projects, identifying and implementing alternative uses to generate new income streams and capital value. Cath has been involved in the full range of commercial, residential, retail, tourism/leisure, hospitality and other property uses in rural locations. Projects are wide ranging from barn conversions to residential developments on the edge of villages to wedding venues and farm shops.

Cath has helped find solutions to seemingly impossible situations for many heritage assets and listed buildings on rural estate, such as enabling development schemes.
