December 2015 rent review in central Cambridge.
What we did
We act for CBRE Global Investors on behalf of a separate account client on their central Cambridge Retail portfolio and recently acted on the rent review on the McDonald’s unit at 7-9 Rose Crescent, Cambridge.
The instruction required detailed market knowledge of the retail, office and restaurant sectors in Cambridge in addition to expertise in landlord and tenant issues.
We agreed a revised rent of £260,000 pa which was a 27% uplift on the passing rent.
This equated to a net effective overall rate of £40 per sq ft on the restaurant which was an excellent result.
We have worked with Bidwells on this portfolio for over 10 years and their detailed market knowledge of the restaurant, retail and office sectors in Cambridge has been instrumental in helping us to achieve our objective of enhancing the value of our client’s central Cambridge retail portfolio.
